Twenty-year-old Morgan Stancil III, who's already confessed in
court to killing a North Carolina college employee, proudly says
he is a neo-Nazi, a homophobe and a murderer, according to an
interview.
Stancil, interviewed by phone from his Florida jail, told WRAL-
TV he has no remorse for shooting to death Ron Lane, a print
shop worker at Wayne Community College in North Carolina.
Lane made sexual advances toward Stancil's younger brother on
Facebook, the man told the station Wednesday. There was no
physical contact, the inmate said.
"He didn't touch him. But he was in the proposal to try to, and
I wasn't going to let that happen," Stancil said, according to
the station. "I took it in my hands to take care of the business
that need to be took care of."
Stancil said he regrets nothing.
North Carolina officials said Lane had no criminal history of
abuse.
"I don't take no remorse for nothing. I did what I did and I got
to live with it. If I get life, I get life. I'm a (expletive)
murderer," he told the station. "What the (expletive) do I gotta
care? I don't give a damn if I go back to society."
Authorities say Stancil walked into Lane's print shop Monday,
and opened fire with a shotgun, killing the openly gay 44-year-
old man. Stancil had served there previously in a work-study
program, but was dismissed last month because of excessive
absences.
He was arrested in Daytona Beach, Fla., on Tuesday for sleeping
on the beach. Authorities later realized he was wanted in the
North Carolina shooting.
Stancil also told the station he hates gay people "with a
passion" and believes in Nazism.
At an initial court hearing on Tuesday, Stancil admitted to
killing Lane in an expletive-laden rant captured by court
cameras.
"I just want you to know, I ridded one less f---ing child
molester from the f---ing earth I don't give a f--k how much
time they give me. Doing time is the easy f---ing part, know
what I'm saying?"
The man will be extradited to North Carolina to stand trial.
